In a heartfelt ceremony at Surau Ad-Difa’, Bolkiah Garrison, Brunei’s Ministry of Defence (MinDef) honored 73 intending haj pilgrims from its ranks with special contributions for their sacred journey for 1446 Hijrah. This year’s group includes 51 personnel from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and 22 civilian officers and staff, both active and retired.

Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II, personally handed over the contributions to male pilgrims, while Datin Hajah Kalshom binti Haji Suhaili, his spouse, presented to the female pilgrims.

The event featured an inspiring tazkirah titled ‘The Outcome of a Blessed Hajj’ delivered by Haji Mohammad Rif’at Atiyah bin Anwari from the RBAF Religious Directorate. Concluding with a Sunnat Hajat prayer and Doa Selamat, the ceremony reflected the nation’s blessings and well-wishes for the pilgrims as they embark on their spiritual journey.
