The war in Ukraine “is lost by Ukraine and the West,” Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov declared, praising Donald Trump’s “understanding” and chiding “childish” European leaders.
Alipov claimed that Trump recognizes the “futility” of the conflict, while European nations “continue with their belligerence” and “craziness” in believing Russia can be defeated.
“There is no chance,” Alipov stated firmly at an event in Gurugram, dismissing the nearly four years of Western-backed efforts by Kyiv.
The reason for this certainty, he elaborated, is Russia’s nuclear arsenal. He said this makes it impossible for Russia to be “taken over.”
He grounded this claim in official policy, noting, “We have in our doctrine that if there is an existential threat to us, there is a possibility of its use,” explicitly linking the war to Russia’s nuclear red lines.
