Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng has concluded a three-day official visit to Russia, focusing on enhancing bilateral ties and participating in the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit, which celebrated 35 years of collaboration between ASEAN and Russia. His return to Hanoi marks the end of a visit that underscored Vietnam’s dedication to strengthening its strategic partnerships.

During his time in Russia, the prime minister attended significant sessions at the summit held in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. The agenda included business forums and meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other regional leaders. Key discussions centered around boosting cooperation in several sectors, including investment, energy, trade, technology, and industrial development, reflecting a mutual interest in advancing these areas.

The Vietnamese delegation also engaged with leading Russian organizations and businesses, witnessing the signing of several cooperation agreements. These agreements are expected to facilitate greater collaboration and enhance connectivity, as evidenced by the launch of new direct flight routes between Vietnam and Russia, aimed at strengthening economic and cultural ties.

This visit highlighted Vietnam’s commitment to deepening the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership and advancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Russia. Both nations agreed on measures to broaden their cooperation, striving for more substantial outcomes in key sectors to support long-term economic growth and bilateral development.
